Graduation Requirement: 24 CREDITS

Due to possible changes in the State Board of Education graduation requirements, Logan High School’s graduation
requirements may differ depending on the graduating year of  the student.  Please make sure to check the specific year of your
graduation to get current graduation information for that years’ graduating class.

One and one-half credits of Fine Arts are required to graduate.

Three credits of Math are required to graduate, including Algebra or Applied Algebra (1credit) and Geometry or Applied Geometry (1 credit) or beyond.
Note:  Many colleges or universities require completion through Intermediate Algebra and beyond.

ELECTIVES
- 4.5 credits
All students must complete 4.5 elective credits. If a student is planning to attend a college or university, two credits of World Language is recommended (required by some). Additional math, science, social studies, and English are also recommended. Advanced Placement (AP) classes and Concurrent Enrollment classes are also recommended for students planning to attend a college or university. If a student is planning to enter a vocational program he/she should take the classes related to that vocational goal.

Utah Basic Skills Competency Test
As mandated by Utah State Legislation, beginning with the graduating class of 2006, all students in the state will be required to take and pass all 3 sections of the Utah Basic Skills Competency Test in order to receive a high school diploma.  Students will take the test for the first time in the spring of their 10th grade year.  Multiple retakes will be offered in students’ 11th and 12th grade years in order to allow all students to fulfill this requirement.
